No More Heroes review on www.thecoolestout.com
Well I was able to get my hands on a copy of this EP by Delorean, which is saying a lot because for some odd reason it’s not listed on iTunes, but I digress. The group is comprised of Sacramento natives 5th Ave & producer Jon Reyes, so sort of like Shwayze, but with mounds more talent and less gimmicky bull.
‘No More Heroes’ the groups 8 track EP, was resting in my inbox earlier today & although I love jamming out to new material & artist submissions, I’m always very hesitant and skeptical in those situations. But I have nothing but positives & praise to give Deloreans (well maybe 1 or 2 negatives, but the positives easily out weigh the negatives). The best way I can describe their sound is by comparison, so envision The Cool Kids spitting over beats that sound like the brainchild of 9th wonder & Pharrell tinkering around together, that’s really how it sounds!
The Delorean’s are merely the byproduct of creativity mixed with talent, with a track entitled Chapter Seven 5th Ave not only showcases his witty delivery, but also his hunger & passion for what he loves.
so fu** the limelight, just give me my mic, & I’ma rhyme till, I get my rhyme right, Like I’m a write till, I get mind right combine my struggle with the sh** I learned in hindsight
Overall it was a really good listen, I know it’s an EP, but still I wish there were more than 8 tracks
